IDT is looking for a Director of Engineering (highly skilled Technical Lead) who can take informal leadership over UI development among one of our products and who is hands-on with coding and knows AWS and can code.
The role is a being Director of Engineering for front-end which includes a web app and a mobile app (both are in React).
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Architecture and development of one of IDT product's UI.
- The progressive integration of best enterprise practices into the existing development process.
- Sharing experiences among the team and driving technical improvements.
- Working on new features and bugs.
- Leading internal Meetups.
- Helping colleagues to sort out hard technical problems.
- Foster a high-performance, customer-focused culture with relentless attention to quality.
We expect you to have:
- Good experience in frontend frameworks or libraries (Angular, React.js, etc.), state containers, HTML, CSS, and build systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the architecture of responsive and performance web design.
- Deep understanding of principles and advantages of OOP and Functional programming paradigms in a fronted context.
- Experience in integration unit testing and code quality instruments to CI pipeline.
- Good level of English (B2 or higher).
- Experience in driving the team and owning innovative technical solutions.
It would be a nice bonus:
- Knowledge of any other programming languages, besides JS or TS.
- Experience in Docker development and deployment workflows.
- Knowledge of Jenkins administration for build and deployment automation.
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Heroku, etc.) or any other IaaS or PaaS.
