We are a Swiss-based dynamic and fast-growing scale-up company operating in the renewable energy sector. We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Cloud Architect / DevOps Engineer to join our DevOps team to contribute to the development and deployment of our software solutions. As a Senior Cloud Architect / DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and managing our cloud infrastructure, ensuring smooth and efficient operations, and driving automation and scalability.
Your Role:
- Collaborate with the development team to design and implement efficient deployment pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, ensuring smooth and automated software delivery.
- Manage and maintain our cloud infrastructure on Azure and GCP, ensuring scalability, high availability, and security.
- Develop and maintain configuration management and infrastructure as code using tools like Docker and Terraform.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure, deployment, and application performance.
- Continuously improve and optimize our development and deployment processes, identifying areas for automation and efficiency gains.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to DevOps and cloud infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, preferably in a senior or lead role.
- At least 14 years of experience within the IT sector
- Strong experience in configuration management tools, particularly Ansible.
- Proven experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
- Practical knowledge of Linux-based infrastructure.
- Demonstrated expertise in creating and maintaining cloud infrastructure using Azure and/or GCP.
- Understanding of networking and security concepts, including cloud environments and Kubernetes, familiarity with all related technologies (load balancing, VPNs, encryption, key, and certificate management methods)
- Familiarity with micro-services architecture and implementing horizontal autoscaling.
- Proficiency with CloudFormation, Terraform, or Azure Resource Manager.
- Experience working with GitLab CI/CD for continuous integration and continuous deployment.
- Experience working with Atlassian tools, such as Jira and Confluence.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
