Mapbox Minsk R&D center (OOO MapData) enables navigation for people, packages and vehicles. Our underlying maps represent the ever-evolving world, accessing, aggregating, and adapting anonymous data from millions of sensors and phones in real-time.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a strategic business partner to the senior executives by developing and implementing HR initiatives, frameworks and processes. Solve complex problems, design customized people solutions, and deliver related communications within the regional organization and with related stakeholders in San Francisco and Washington DC.
  • Maintain employee benefits programs and inform employees of benefits by studying and assessing needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids; awarding benefit contracts; designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs.
  • Maintain a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.
  • Ensure planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; coaching employees and supervisors.
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource national and local requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records.

What We Believe are Important Traits for This Role

  • 5-6 years relative experience in a technology company or startup, especially direct experience in scaling a business.
  • Prior experience in creating deliverables in people management and operations strategies and policies.
  • Knowledge in compensation, organizational planning, recruitment, organization development, employee relations, safety, employee engagement, and employee development.
  • Extensive experience in interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to the executive team and provides overall company leadership and direction.
  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices and experience working with a corporate employment law attorney.
  • Deep understanding in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources recognition and engagement programs.
  • Excellent organizational management skills.
  • Strong drive to observe and solve problems.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, preferably with working level fluency in English.
